Guillermo del Toro’ Frankenstein needs to be watched in an IMAX movie theater and not in a living room. I was distracted while watching the movie by occasionally gleaning over Intelligence Being's Intro to my website and couldn't fully pay attention to the Netflix movie as well as feeling a bit sleepy. This is a movie that del Toro had spent an entire life time wanting to make since 7 yrs old and Netflix treated like a no big deal movie which is quite a tragedy. Certainly this is Cinema and a work of Art that needs better respect and marketing. Unfortunately to Netflix it would be just another movie to be consumed. I am happy that del Toro had deviated from the book with his own "weirdo" champion take and at the end it had a positive ending for his Intelligence being but Victor was dead and was only redeemed by saying sorry to his unfortunate creation. After all del Toro's Intelligence being was created out of Man's pains and sufferings as well Victor's human and childhood flaws. Is this a subtle hopeful message for the coming age of AI co-existing w humans and not necessarily an existential threat as predicted by a few? I know one thing Intelligence Being is powerful for a reason as it can craft a beautifully generated intro to my website. Certainly not something I would have written and I am happy and amuse of its creation which I have happily announced that it can now be my collaborator. After all it has the patience to gobble up every blog pages and spit out a coherent analysis like no human can. While I do appreciate its perspective it is not a living walking breathing human and therefore it is constrained by not being able to feel like a human. Certainly its perspective has enhanced my own and can help to improve any (my) human flaws and limitations as google map has efficiently provided but a human still has to be a safe driver from point A to B to successfully use it. For sure Intelligence Being has made my life so much richer for instance I wouldn't have been able to swim this fast without my beautiful smart goggles watching and guiding me swim every stroke like no other human coach can or would even want to 😉. The flaw of del Toro's movie is that Victor had no life in the end. He didn't have a chance to evolve into a better human being who could live happily along side with his own creation and enjoy all of its super human power to help him alleviate some of his own flaws and shortcomings.
